India has a huge population which includes the largest slum population of Asia. The slum is located in the middle of the city of Mumbai, called Dharavi. Total of 1 to 2 million people stay in 1 mile square area. The lacks so many infrastructure facilities and continues to pollute the atmosphere because of no drainage system, increasing recycling industry, etc. People of the slum share 1 toilet amongst 1400 of them. Which results of using open spaces in the slum for lavatory emergency. All these activities spread diseases within them. Dharavi does not have a good quality clinics or hospitals within the coverage area and people do not earn enough to pay for their treatments, they can not even afford the health insurance. Because of this situation the the average life of a person is 60 years in the community.

All the research on this slum made me realise how desperately people need a good health care with lowest expenses. As a result I am proposing a free health care facility for the slum which will serve all the general necessity to the people of Dharavi. Free check-up, free medicare, and health education to the patients and to their families will create a healthy lifestyle in the community. To sponsor this project the Magic Bus foundation is supporting me with the finances and will own the facility. I expect to offer the treatment from the age of 2 to 65 with two different floors. The building’s plan is spread out in a shape of a hand palm which inspired me to use combination of hand palm and palmistry as the design concept of the facility. The concept will carry forward a very calming and relaxing color scheme from Sherwin Williams paints and it will have the minimal selection of the materiality meaning the structure and interior will use the natural materials for example concrete, wood, brick.

The facility provides fresh and healthy atmosphere by using all the healthcare and sustainable materials within the space. As per given the building structure, the local materials have been used which helps keeping the space Eco friendly. 

Applying universal design with environment behavior theory that incorporate acoustical design approaches to ease the alienation of the residents of the dharavi, mumbai slum in the design of a free local healthcare clinic. 

The lighting of the space directly mirrors the concept, and continues to tell the story of the saudi woman. Areas throughout the space take the visitor on a journey through the fight for saudi women’s right by gradually transitioning from light, to dark, and finally, back to light.

Natural sunlight, accompanied by down lights at the entrance and reception, provide not only a visual focal point, but a space that expresses the liberation taken from the concept. The entrance into the actual exhibition space darkens, emulating the physical covering, and restrictions of the saudi woman. As the visitor travels deeper into the exhibit, lighting that was once bright and directional, transitions to moody and ambient. Low lighting, and selectively placed back lights, give the visitors of the space the opportunity to sympathize with saudi women and experience the  feeling of oppression.

The gradual lighting encountered while exiting the exhibit space, evokes the liberation of saudi women. Bright, warm lighting, and a reintroduction to natural light, portrays freedom and visible hope for the future.

The chelsea foundation is a non-profit, atlanta based, foundation which helps children who are going through any kind of depression. "The mission of the chelsea foundation is to provide children with tools that encourage literacy, stimulate creative thinking, and reward effort." As their motto is to create a unique environment which should help students to forget about all the metal stress and illnesses, i proposed the concept of "perspective imaginations".

The word perspective means point of view; in depth which goes back the children who think a lot, and the mission of the chelsea foundation who wants to make a difference in these children’s lives.

The concept is to create the perspective like angles within the space to build a self independence environment for the users of the space.
